According to media reports, the City of Corvallis, Oregon is the next city in the state to ban plastic bags.

On Monday the Corvallis City Council approved a first reading. According to the Gazette Times, the amended ordinance bans plastic bags and allows paper bags with a five cent charge. A second reading is scheduled for July 2.
