Feb 17 -San Mateo Co Regional Bag Ban Gains Support From Cities
Earlier this week the City of Belmont decided to join the regional bag ban effort in San Mateo County. Foster City Council will discuss this coming Tuesday night whether or not to do the same.
The timing of a regional ordinance is still unclear, although ordinance language--modeled after San Jose’s bag ban--has already been drafted. So far, the City of Millbrae has been the only San Mateo County jurisdiction to pass its own ordinance which was adopted last week.
