Presented by the Business Environmental Resource Center, the award recognizes Sims Recycling Solutions for the steps it has taken to make its operations more sustainable as well as for demonstrating environmental excellence and leadership in the Sacramento area.

One of 10 Sacramento-area businesses to be honored, Sims Recycling Solutions’ commitment to environmental stewardship includes using state-of-the-art recycling technologies that produce cleaner commodities for reuse in the manufacture of new products, implementing comprehensive hazardous materials management programs and maintaining R2 and ISO 14001 certifications. Closer to home, Sims Recycling Solutions’ 200,000-square-foot facility in Roseville, California, is powered by renewable energy and part of the Roseville Green Energy Initiative.
