May 28 - NAPCOR Says Untested Plastic Additives Should be Avoided

The National Association for PET Container Resources (NAPCOR), said in a press release today that plastic additives that claim to make containers "biodegradable" should be avoided because they are untested. Many manufacturers of such additives have not released test results on the biodegradability of their additives. Likewise, many manufacturers of these additives claim their product does not adverse the container's recyclability, but do not offer any evidence. The Association for Postconsumer Plastic Recyclers (APR), has also expressed concern about these new additives.
