Apr 23 - OPC Votes to Assemble Carryout Bag Report

Responding to lawsuits by plastic bag manufacturers against cities that have adopted plastic bag bans, the California Ocean Protection Agency voted to produce a master environmental assesment on carryout bags. Cities will be able to use the document if they desire to produce an envirnmental impact report before banning plastic bags. The MEA is expected to take 6-9 months to complete.
