Glass container manufacturers have announced they will seek to use 50% recycled glass in the manufacturing of new glass bottles by 2013.  This ambitious goal will require a significant increase in glass container recycling over the next 4 years. In order to achieve this growth in recycling, glass manufacturers say they will look to the new policies to increase glass recycling--including establishment and expansion of policies to provide consumers with increased incentives and opportunities for container recycling.

Glass containers can easily be made with 100% recycled content and recycled glass is in abundance, especially in Bottle Bill states like California.
