Despite bipartisan support in the State Senate, Assembly Republicans failed to provide a single vote in support of the AB 7 (Evans), the Bottle Bill budget fix. The measure had the support of a majority of the Assembly (43 votes), but needs 2/3rds (54 votes). The state Assembly is continuing to meet this evening, but it’s not clear that a breakthrough will be reached.
