Following California's lead, four more states take on energy efficiency requirements for television.  Due to the recent approval by the California Energy Commission (CEC) of regulations that will set energy-efficiency limits on California for televisions sold on store shelves, four other states have introduced legislation aiming for the same goals. They include Massachusetts, New York, Wisconsin and Washington:

Massachusetts - House Bill 3124 and Senate Bill 1524 concerning electronics
New York - Assembly Bill 9387 concerning televisions
Washington - House Bill 2416 and Senate Bill 6489 concerning electronics
Wisconsin - Senate Bill 450 and Assembly Bill 649 concerning electronics
