Oct 11 - Governor Vetoes Apartment Recycling LegislationSubmitted by Recycling News on October 11, 2009 - 16:56.
In advance of today's bill signing deadline, Governor Schwarzenegger has vetoed AB 473 (Blumenfield), which would have required recycling at multifamily dwellings. The Governor's veto on this bill represents a significant missed opportunity to extend convenient residential recycling opportunities to California's 7 million apartment dwellers. We anxiously await the Governor's action on other key recycling legislation later today and will post information as soon as it becomes available.
