Erica Parker, Policy Associate (she/her)
Erica’s journey into environmental advocacy began with a solid foundation in STEM. After earning her B.S. in Chemistry and her minor in Mathematics from CSU Sacramento, she gained hands-on experience as an analytical environmental chemist and quality assurance specialist. This early experience sparked her passion for environmental stewardship and fueled her desire to effect change through policy.
Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Environmental Policy and Management at UC Davis, Erica is focusing on Sustainable Food Systems and Agriculture. Her academic and professional focus aligns perfectly with her work as a Policy Associate, where she advocates for policies addressing key environmental challenges related to organics recycling, food waste, landfills, and climate change.
Erica has a tabby cat named Marilyn and a variety of hobbies. Whether slacklining in Sacramento’s parks, reading science fiction at a local café, baking vegan treats, or cycling around Midtown, she is always exploring new ways to enjoy and connect with her community.
