Kayla Robinson, Legislative Director (she/her/hers)

Kayla is the Legislative Director at Californians Against Waste, bringing seven years of experience in environmental policy. Kayla has also led significant budget and regulatory efforts, helping secure more than half a billion dollars to decarbonize California’s building sector and accelerate the adoption of zero-emission appliances. Before joining CAW, she worked with the Building Decarbonization Coalition, supporting a public-private partnership to help achieve Governor Newsom’s goal of installing 6 million heat pumps by 2030.

Her earlier experience includes roles in the Press Office of Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon and at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from Colgate University.

Outside of work, Kayla enjoys exploring nature with friends, checking out too many library books, and chasing after her dog, Sonny.
