May 7 - Assembly Appropriations Committee Passes AB 1826

AB 1826, by Assembly Member Wes Chesbro, passed out of the Assembly Appropriations Committee today. The bill, which requires businesses to recycle their organic waste, had previously died in this committee.

In his closing statement, Assembly Member Chesbro said, "Sacramento is on the forefront of the farm to fork movement, but the next step is to move the entire state full circle and transition from fork to farm."
