Share CalRecycle is beginning their formal regulation rulemaking process for Architectural Paint and Carpet Stewardship program, two laws that were passed last year. Product stewardship programs are industry-run programs, requiring manufacturers to operate and finance the recycling program.
The written comment period for this rulemaking closes at 4:00 p.m. on September 5, 2011. There will also be a public hearing to receive comments on the initial 45-day public comment period for the Paint and Carpet Regulation, scheduled for September 8, 2011.
