Apr 15 - Bay Area Counties Vote to Ban Plastic Bags, Polystyrene
Santa Cruz County voted Tuesday to move forward with an ordinance to ban plastic bags and require a fee on paper bags. The Board of Supervisors agreed to fund an environmental study on the subject if needed.
Also on Tuesday, Monterey County voted to ban polystyrene take-out containers.
