Oct 21 - Richmond Bans Polystyrene Takeout Food Packaging
The Richmond, California city council voted last night 6-1 to ban polystyrene foam takeout food packaging and allow only compostable alternatives. Richmond now joins a growing list of municipalities that have banned polystyrene.
Reducing the amount of plastic litter is becoming increasing important for Bay Area cities in light of upcoming TMDL for trash restrictions for the Bay.
