Aug 20 - Mexico City Bans Plastic Bags
Mexico City has become the latest city to ban thin plastic bags. The law is expected to reduce the growing problem of plastic pollution in the city of 10 million.
San Francisco, Oakland, Fairfax, Palo Alto, Malibu, and Manhattan Beach have adopted bans on plastic bags. A San Jose council committee will investigate a plastic bag ban next week.
