Jun 23 - North Carolina Legislature Bans Plastic Bags In Island Counties

The North Carolina Legislature has approved a bill that bans plastic bags in three barrier island counties. The bill applies to large retail outlets and chain stores and would go into effect September if it is signed by North Carolina's Governor.
