Feb 5 - Monterey Bans Polystyrene
The Monterey City Council has adopted a ban on polystyrene food packaging. Monterey joins the neighboring municipalities of Pacific Grove and Carmel in banning the material, which contributes to plastic pollution in the oceans.
San Bruno passed a similar ban last week.
