May 27 - Toughest Plastic Bag Bill in Nation to be Voted on in Assembly
CAW-sponsored AB 2058 (Levine) must be voted off the Assembly Floor this week. This toughest-in-the-nation law would allow local governments to charge fees on plastic bags and require very high (70%) bag diversion rates or would establish a state-wide fee.
