Jan 22 - LA County Aproves Plastic Bag Phase Out

The Los Angeles County Board approved a benchmark-or-ban system for unincorporated LA County, the first such municipality in the country to do so. The measure requires retailers to decrease plastic bag disposal by 30% in 2011 and by 65% in 2013.
