Jan 31 - Santa Monica Recommends Bag Ban

Santa Monica public works staff have recommended in a staff report that its City Council ban plastic bags. Council will consider drafting the ordinance in February. If the ordinance is eventually adopted, Santa Monica would join San Francisco, Oakland, Fairfax and LA County, which have all recently adopted bag litter control ordinances.
