Sept 19 - Millbrae to Consider Polystyrene Ban Next Week

The City of Millbrae is poised to pass a comprehensive food packaging law that would eliminate polystyrene takeout food packaging and require the use of environmental alternatives. The measure was recommended by the Millbrae's Department of Public Works in an effort to cut the City's contribution to deadly plastic litter and marine debris.

The City Council will vote on the measure Tuesday September 25, at 7:00 pm, at the Millbrae City Hall.

CAW and Takeout Food Packaging:

  • Polystyrene and its effects on the environment.
