Apr 7 - Saturday Event in Pleasanton to Accept 'E-Waste'

Pleasanton residents can bring old and unwanted computer components, televisions, camcorders and other electronica to a collection event Saturday at the city's Operations Service Center, 3333 Busch Road, off Valley Avenue.

The event, sponsored by the City of Pleasanton and Pleasanton Garbage Service, runs from 8 a.m. o 3 p.m.

Acceptable items to bring Saturday include computers, TVs, VCRs, DVD players, stereos, radios, copiers, cell phones, printers, fax machines and camcorders.

Items that won't be accepted include kitchen and other large appliances, ovens or stoves, dishwashers and packaging.

This is open to Pleasanton residents only, and an ID, water bill or garbage service bill will be required for proof of residency. For more information, call 925-846-2042.
