Feb 21 - Legislation Targets Marine Debris

AB 1940 by Assembly Member Paul Koretz (D-Hollywood) responds to the call of the Sea.  With recent papers from the Ocean Protection Council, Environment California, an upcoming Marine Debris paper by the California Coastal Commission, and the 2006 California and World Ocean Conference, who could ignore our Oceans this year?  Koretz is certainly paying heed.  This bill would create a multiagency taskforce to address marine debris in our state.
