Apr 12 - Free "Bag It" Movie Screening This Friday

Share

Friday the 13th is coming up, and if you're in the LA area this weekend you should check out the free screening of the "Bag It" documentary. Hosted by Assembly Member Holly Mitchell, the film screening is followed by a discussion on the impacts of plastic bags--something we should all be afraid of.

In 2010, the Telluride, CO-based film inspired the Town of Telluride to become the first local jurisdiction in the state to adopt a plastic bag ban. Since then, other Colorado cities have been inspired to enact their own ordinances.

Here is the basic information for the screening:

Date: Friday, April 13
Time: 7:30 pm (Discussion at 8:30 pm)
Location: West Los Angeles College (ATA 128 Theatre Room, 9000 Overland Avenue, Culver City, CA)

If you'd like to watch the movie and aren't able to make the screening, don't worry. "Bag It" will air on the Documentary Channel on Earth Day, April 22. Get the schedule on the Documentary Channel website.
