Nov 12 - Walgreens To Stop Using Plastic Bags in Palo Alto
Walgreens has voluntarily agreed to stop distributing plastic bags in its three Palo Alto stores. The city passed an ordinance earlier this year banning plastic bags at grocery stores, but not pharmacies.
Walgreens joins a growing list of retailers that are voluntarily ending their use of plastic bags. Recently Wal-Mart announced it would cease using plastic bags in three Northern California stores.
