Mar 12 - SF to Start Anti-litter Education Campaign

Mayor Gavin Newsom's office announced San Francisco will implement a new anti-litter education effort in its public and private schools. The campaign strives to educate children about the environmental affects of littering as well as to encourage them to help clean up their own neighborhoods.

Newsom told CBS 5 San Francisco that "combating litter is critical to improving the quality of life for all San Franciscans.''

The new program will eventually reach 10,000 students annually.
