Mar 21 - Hearing set for SF Bag Ban
SF's proposed ban on plastic bags is to be heard in committee tommorrow, March 22, at 1pm.  The author of the billâ€"Supervisor Mirkarimiâ€"announced that support of the bill is needed in order to expand its scope. Mirikami wishes to expand the proposed ban beyond its current scope of grocers with over $2 million in annual receipts to include chain pharmacies.
