Nov 2 - San Jose Requests Comment on Bag EIR

The City of San Jose is requesting comment on the scope of its carryout bag Environmental Impact Report (EIR), a draft of which is currently being drafted by the city. The EIR is being completed in advance of the adoption of a proposed ordinance to ban plastic bags and require retailers to collect a fee on paper bags.

Two other similar studies are currently being prepared by Los Angeles County and Green Cities California.
