Nov 18 - Aluminum Industry Sets 75% Recycling Target
The Aluminum Association has set a 75% nation-wide recycling goal for aluminum beverage containers. The recovery rate for aluminum nation-wide is just above 50%, though in California it is considerably higher.
The Aluminum Association recommended reaching its recycling goal by, among other measures, advocating that more state pass bottle bills. The Association noted that states with bottle bills, like California, have higher recycling rates of beverage containers than non-bottle bill states.
