Jan 15 - New Jersey Governor Signs E-waste Recycling Bill

New Jersey is the latest state to establish a collection and recycling system for unwanted electronics. Governor Jon Corzine signed the measure (A3572) today, that not only bans the covered electronics devices from landfills, but also requires retailers to register with the state to help pay for recycling costs. This law will also set per-capita collection and recycling goals for manufacturers.
