Apr 10 - New York Bill would Ban Bags at State Level

A bill being considered in the New York State Assembly would ban the use of plastic bags in large grocery stores statewide if passed. The bill, A07219 carried by Assemblymember William Colton, would require that only compostable plastic bags, paper bags or reusable bags be used in stores with annual gross sales of two million dollars or more.
