The Fresno based group, Electronic Recyclers, were one of a group of award winners in the annual CA Integrated Waste Management Board's Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP). WRAP honors California businesses and private nonprofit organizations that have developed creative programs to help reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills. Electronic Recyclers is the largest e-waste recycler in the state and the only one that de-manufactures, recycle and crush a variety of electronic equipment.
"It is an honor and a privilege to be recognized by the State of California for our waste reduction efforts," said John S. Shegerian, Electronic Recyclers' Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO. "Properly disposing of electronic waste and the hazards it presents to our environment is our day-to-day business. The reason we received the WRAP award is because we practice what we preach and are environmentally responsible in every aspect of our operations. From energy efficient lighting to recycled office furniture to the fleet of hybrid cars our sales team drives, being green is something we instill among all our employees - it's part of our DNA. It helps us keep our focus on the big picture and the reason ERI is in business in the first place. We will exhibit our WRAP Award with great pride."
