Sept 25 - Millbrae Adopts Polystyrene Ban
The Millbrae City Council unanimously adopted a comprehensive food packaging ordinance Tuesday evening that bans solid and foamed polystyrene and requires that food packaging be recyclable or compostable. The Millbrae Chamber of Commerce was in support of the ban. Polystyrene food packaging is one of the most dangerous and voluminous forms of marine debris and is not recycled anywhere in California.
